Getting There
By Air
Air France operate flights to Niamey. The main airport is Niamey (NIM), which is 12km from the city. Taxis are available to the city, many hotels provide there own shuttle services, enquire when booking.
By Road
There are main roads from Benin, Nigeria and Burkina Faso. Plus a trans-sahara road from Algeria, although driving this route is not recommended.
Getting Around
By Air
There are no scheduled domestic flights in Niger, charter flights are sometimes available from Niamey.
By Road / Car Hire
Some roads are permanently closed to tourists, and it is reccommended to report to police in any town you stay overnight at. Travelling at night is not reccommended, and petrol stations are infrequent.
