Getting There

By Air

There are various charter flight companies operating from Europe.
The main airports are:
Banjul (BJL) 20 kmaway from the city. Taxis are available to the city. If you are booked on a package deal, transport to accommodation ought to be included.

By Road

There is a road connection with Dakar, Senegal

Getting around

By Water

There are numerous points where you can cross the river.  Between banjul and Barra passenger ferries are available every 30 minutes.  lunch and dinner cruises are popular.

By Road

In and around Banjul roads are tarred and in good condition.  Outside of this area there is a programme to repair and maintain roads but many are still in bad condition.
Bush taxis are the main form of public transport, these shared taxis only depart when they are full.
Traffic drives on the right.
