Cape Verde is becoming an increasingly popular place to visit, and has much to offer a visitor espcially beaches.

Santiago Island

Praia, the capital has good beaches and nightlife
Ciadhe Velha is the first Portugese settlement on the island
Fort Real de San Felippe is an old Portugese fort
Tarrafal is a pretty fishing village with good beaches and a Portugese prison

Tarrafel has very good beaches
Sal has white sand beaches
Sao Nicolau has black sand beaches.
