Given the location of Australia this is obviously the most common way to get there.  Qantas is the national airline but 25 international airlines land in the country. 

Sydney Airport (SYD) (Kingsford Smith) is 8km from the city, airport link connects the airpoirt to the city centre.  plus coaches and private taxis are available.  Otherwise many hotels offer a courtesy pick up service.

Adelaide Airport (ADL) is 6km west of the city.  Coaches meet all domestic and international flights, plus buses and taxis are available.

Melbourne Airport (MEL) is 22km from the city. the Skybus coach runs 24 hours a day and taxis are also available.

Perth Airport (PER) is 12km from the city. Buses meet all flights, international and domestic, plus taxis are available.

Brisbane Airport (BNE) is 13 km from the city.  Buses operat and hotels on the sunshine and gold coasts usually ofer a courtesy service.
