Getting AroundThere are some internal flights, but the standard of maintainenece of the aircraft is questionable and so travellers would be advised not to fly. There are some private planes operating especially to the oil and diamond areas. there are internal train services in Angola, but they run erratically and tickets are very hard to pruchase. There are tar roads in Luanda but many are in poor condition since the war. There is stil a risk of landmines even along main lines. Driving outside of Luanda is not reccommended. |
